Todd Reid has been active as a jazz musician since childhood. After “sitting in” sessions beginning at age nine, Todd had his first professional gig at age 11 for a week-long trip on the Mississippi riverboat the Delta Queen. After graduating from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with both a Bachelor of Music in Jazz & Commercial Music and a Masters of Music in Percussion, Todd moved to New York City, where he worked with such jazz artists as Gerry Mulligan, Dr. Billy Taylor, Jim McNeely, “Big Nick” Nicholas, vocalist Marlene VerPlank and numerous others.
In 1992, Todd moved to Denver, CO and has settled into the jazz scene, working in the house band at Denver's famed El Chapultepec. Since then, he has appeared and/or recorded with such jazz artists as Jon Hendricks, Mose Allison, Bob Dorough, Eddie Daniels, David “Fathead” Newman, Richie Cole, Freddie Cole, Lew Tabackin, Curtis Fuller, Charles McPherson, Eddie Harris, Nick Brignola, Rickey Woodard, Teddy Edwards, Red Holloway, Bobby Shew, Carl Saunders, Javon Jackson, Dave Pietro, Scott Wendholt and a host of others. Todd is currently active with 3ósity, an organ trio comprised of Pat Bianchi on the Hammond B3 organ and Dave Corbus on guitar.
